Handmade pasta, wood-fired classics, and the warmth of a real Italian kitchen — right in the heart of Mississauga.
At Osteria Vecchia, every dish starts with the best ingredients — imported Italian flour, local Ontario produce, and recipes passed down through three generations. We don't rush. We don't cut corners. We cook the way it was meant to be done.
Whether you're joining us for a quiet dinner for two or a celebration with family, you'll feel the difference the moment you walk through the door.

"The tagliatelle was the best pasta I've had outside of Bologna. Warm, unpretentious, and genuinely delicious. We'll be back every month."
"Incredible atmosphere and even better food. The branzino was perfect — light, fresh, and beautifully presented. Service was warm and attentive."
"We celebrated our anniversary here and it was perfect from start to finish. The tiramisù alone is worth the trip. A hidden gem in Mississauga."
We look forward to welcoming you. Reservations recommended for Friday and Saturday evenings.

Osteria Vecchia opened its doors in 2009 with a simple promise — to cook Italian food the way it's meant to be cooked. No shortcuts, no compromises, no frozen pasta.
Our head chef and co-founder, Marco Conti, grew up in the Campania region of southern Italy, learning to make pasta by hand before he could read. He moved to Canada in 2001, spent eight years working in Toronto's finest Italian kitchens, and then opened Osteria Vecchia with his wife Sofia — to finally cook on his own terms.
Every dish on our menu tells a story. The ragù recipe is Marco's grandmother's. The tiramisù is Sofia's. The wine list is curated annually from small Italian producers most Canadians have never heard of. We like it that way.
More than 15 years later, we're still here — still making everything from scratch, still welcoming the same families who came on opening night, still proud of every plate that leaves our kitchen.
Every pasta, every sauce, every dessert is made in-house daily. We never use dried pasta or pre-made components.
Our menu changes with the seasons. We source produce locally from Ontario farms and import specialty Italian ingredients directly.
We're a family restaurant in every sense. Owned by family, staffed by people who've been with us for years, and built for families to enjoy.
Our pizza oven runs at 900°F and is never turned off during service. There's no substitute for a real wood fire.
Campania-born, Marco has been cooking professionally for 25 years. His ragù has been called "the best in Ontario" by more than one food critic.
Sofia handles everything sweet — and the front-of-house experience. If you feel at home here, that's her doing.
Trained in Naples at the Associazione Verace Pizza Napoletana, Luca has been firing our oven since 2014.
We'd love to hear from you — whether it's a question, a special request, or just to say hello.
Especially Thursday through Saturday. Walk-ins welcome at the bar.
